Pet Surgery

When your pet needs surgery, we understand that it can be a stressful time. We want to make the procedure as easy on your pet as possible and the post-operative care easy on their owners. We start all of our surgeries or anesthetic procedures with a pre-anesthetic exam. Pre-anesthetic blood work is evaluated prior to anesthesia and then your pet’s veterinarian determines the best and safest anesthetic protocol for your pet. All of our anesthetic procedures are monitored by an experienced veterinary nurse and the patient’s blood pressure, ECG, blood oxygen levels, and CO2 are measured with specialized equipment. Extra care is taken to minimize discomfort after the procedure, including smaller incisions when able, gentle tissue handling, and ensuring a comfortable recovery. Laser surgery is offered for many surgical procedures and post-operative pain management is augmented with cold laser therapy when applicable.
