Meet our Doctors
Dr. Randy Prezzano
Veterinarian
Dr. Randy Prezzano is originally from a small town in the rural Hudson River Valley region of New York. In 1991, Dr. Randy moved to Florida and attended The University of Florida where he pursued his degree in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Randy received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in May 2000. Dr. Randy’s career as a practicing veterinarian led him first to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and then to Ocala, Florida where he remained in practice for 10 years. Four of those years were spent as a partner in a large veterinary hospital. Dr. Randy began his career in veterinary medicine when he became a kennel assistant in high school and now he has been led to practice ownership here in Dacula.
Dr. Randy and his wife, Dr. Destiny, have a beautiful daughter and adorable twin boys. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Randy’s interests include fishing, hiking, gardening, and relaxing with his family.
Dr. Destiny Prezzano
Veterinarian
Dr. Destiny Prezzano grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, and moved to Florida to finish high school. She attended the University of Florida where she completed a B.S. degree in Animal Science and graduated cum laude in 2005 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. She began practicing as a veterinarian along with her husband, Dr. Randy Prezzano, in a large, progressive companion animal hospital in Ocala, Florida. Dr. Destiny has a strong passion for veterinary medicine that began at age 16 when she served as a kennel assistant. Her veterinary passion is enhancing the human-animal bond by improving her patient’s health and offering treatment options that work for both the pet and their owner. Dr. Destiny has special interests in internal medicine, ultrasound diagnostics, complicated case management, soft tissue surgery, and pain management.
Destiny enjoys running, spending time by the water, and traveling. Drs. Destiny and Randy have three children, a daughter, and twin boys as well as two very fluffy dogs. The Prezzanos attend Hebron Baptist Church and enjoy serving their community.
Dr. Supriya Hughes

Dr. Marta Srednicki

Dr. Marta grew up riding horses in Columbia, South Carolina, and completed her
B.S. degree at the University of South Carolina in Business Management. After
working in the corporate world for a few years, she decided to pursue her true
passion for veterinary medicine.
Dr. Marta worked in the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant in an emergency
and specialty practice before being accepted to vet school at the University of
Georgia. Her interests include cardiology and emergency medicine.
When not at work, she and her fiancé Ryan enjoy being outdoors with their two
dogs, Marmie and Oscar. Additionally, Dr. Marta enjoys running and riding horses.
Dr. Amy Flowers

Dr. Amy Flowers is a Georgia native. She grew up with horses, cows, goats, donkeys, gerbils, dogs, and cats. She started in the veterinary field at a very young age as a volunteer at a rural animal hospital. She continued her journey in vet med as a kennel attendant and then a veterinary assistant, eventually moving up to head surgical assistant.
She obtained her biology degree as well as her doctorate from the University of Georgia. She has been privileged enough to serve the Dacula area for two decades. Her special interests include geriatric medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Amy and her husband have two sons. They also share their home (and hearts) with three dogs – Ricky, Moose, and Andy. They just adopted a leukemia-positive cat named Koko. Amy truly enjoys adopting older dogs with special needs that might be overlooked otherwise. She believes all pets deserve love and a chance to live their lives to the fullest.
Summer Stephens
Practice Manager
I have had a passion for animals since I was a little girl. Growing up in a household that bred Dachshunds during my childhood was the cause for that passion. One of my fondest memories growing up with animals is the unconditional love they gave you. The joy and comfort they provided just by being around you.
We currently have two dogs that are spoiled named Beau and Jetti. Beau is our gentle giant Hound mixed that we rescued six years ago. Jetti is our Dachshund that thinks she is the queen bee of the house. Never a dull moment with them two. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
Veronica Pietras
Department Head – Veterinary Nursing Staff
After 16 years in this field, I have learned that spending time with dogs and cats on a daily basis is the best form of therapy. Gaining trust from even the most fearful patients coming through our doors is a welcomed challenge and is so rewarding. Being able to assist the Veterinarians with every aspect of our patient’s care from the Exam Room, Treatment Area, Surgery, Dental Suite, and Radiology is never boring.
When I am not helping patients, I love to spend time outdoors whenever possible. My husband, 2 kids, and I often go off-roading and camping in the Blue Ridge Mountains to help us disconnect from technology and everyday stressors. We use this time to recharge, bond, and reconnect as a family.
I also enjoy reading and baking whenever I have spare time. I often say my secret ingredient to my fantastic recipes is listening to 80’s love songs while baking.

Helping animals makes me feel that I have accomplished so much in our big world. I find fulfillment in rescuing animals and finding them their forever home. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, doing outdoor activities with my two dogs, Hunny and Teddy, or just relaxing and watching a movie!
Grace

Seeing all the pets come in with excitement is so cute and heart-lifting. Especially when shy pets open up with us and become our best friends. I love my job always because it’s filled with love from all the pets at Apalachee River Animal Hospital.
I love hanging out with my pets at home when I’m not working, especially my cat Jasmine.
Misty
Kennel Manager
I have always loved animals. As a child, I would get into trouble for feeding strays. My aunt calls me the “dog whisperer” because most dogs can sense I am their friend. When I started college, my major was Veterinary Technology. However, life took me in another direction but has led me back to where I started. I have helped with many animal rescues and have had many furry friends over the past years. I currently have a 5 yr old German Shepard, Zeus, and my 17.5 yr old cat, Stryper.
Ansleigh
Veterinary Nurse
I have been in the Veterinary Field for 3 years. While I started as a Customer Service Representative, working as an Assistant has fulfilled my love of spending one-on-one time with animals. My ultimate goal is to become a Veterinarian.
In my spare time, I love to spend time outdoors with Ellie, my Australian Shepard. We enjoy hiking, camping, and playing fetch together.
Jenny
Veterinary Nurse
I have always been passionate about animals. Being able to advocate and help those without a voice is truly a rewarding feeling. I grew up on 40 acres where stray cats appeared often. I fostered 12 newborn kittens at one point.
A fun fact about me is I am very crafty and have just started a small business making custom door doormats.
When I am not helping animals I love spending time with my family and friends or out boating on the lake.
Hernando
Veterinary Nurse
Since I was a kid, I loved spending time around animals. I grew up helping take care of the horses, hens, and pigs on my father’s farm. Because of my continued love for animals, I later graduated as a Veterinarian from University CES (Colombia). I am currently in the process of becoming a board-certified DVM here in the United States.
A fun fact about me is that I enjoy getting an adrenaline rush from sky diving and motorcycle riding.
When I am not helping animals I love spending time with my wife and our 3-year-old daughter and taking advantage of any opportunity to travel with them.
